When you call for a new patient appointment you will be asked for a brief explanation of your health need(s). We do consider patients health needs and medication status before scheduling appointments to make sure we can meet a patient's health needs.
We will bill Medicare and other regular insurance as a courtesy to our patients. Co-pays are due at the time of service.

We ask our uninsured patients to provide payment for services at the time of your appointment unless other arrangements have been made in advance with the business office. We seek to keep our rates as reasonable as possible and do provide a sliding scale for low-income families (upon application).
Non-patient telephone consultation are available by appointment. These are subject to a consultation fee.
Patient phone consultations -Simple questions for the Doctor will be returned by phone at the end of the day. Medicare now allows Telemedicine appointments that can be billed to Medicare. If you are sick and unable to come to the office, please talk to the receptionist about a telemedicine appointment.
After office hours, the voice mail system will offer an option to leave a message for the doctor. Dr. Hansen will be notified promptly and will return your call as soon as possible.
Occasionally, the physician may be away and therefore unavailable in case of emergency you may need to be treated at a nearby hospital Emergency Room or urgent care facility.
We are a family practice and lifestyle clinic. We seek to provide the very best medical care and health education possible. In conjunction with our philosophy we have chosen not to become part of any HMO's and are not contracted with any insurance companies besides Medicare. We are considered out-of-network providers by most insurance policies.

Medications & Prescription Renewals – All prescriptions and authorizations for renewals should be requested during normal office hours. The nurse or doctor will contact your pharmacist during regular business hours. Please try to plan in advance for prescription refills especially before the weekend. If you need a refill please call your pharmacy first and ask them to send a refill request. Please allow 24 hours for refill requests.
